About Us:
Visiting Angels is a company that hires caregivers to help with the aging population's activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, walking, etc. We can also assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and more. Role Overview:
As a Community Outreach Coordinator at Visiting Angels of WNC, you will be responsible for building relationships within the community to raise awareness about our services and engage potential clients and families. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the care team to ensure that we're meeting the needs of our community while embodying our mission of providing compassionate and professional care. You'll enjoy the opportunity to work on-site in Asheville, North Carolina, contributing to our mission and making a difference in the lives of seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
Get out into the community — senior living communities, rehab centers, hospital discharge planners, social workers, elder law attorneys, Councils on Aging, churches, Rotary clubs, and health fairs — and introduce people to who we are Host and organize lunches, coffee meet-ups, presentations, and small community events that build real relationships Ask for referrals — from happy clients, healthcare partners, and anyone who trusts us — in a warm, professional, natural way Follow up consistently and stay visible in the senior care network Track your outreach activity and results and work closely with our office team so every new inquiry is handled well Represent our values of Integrity, Communication, Professionalism, and PASSION everywhere you go
Qualifications:
You're a great fit if you have the following skills. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, social work, or a related field. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in community outreach, public relations, or marketing, preferably in the healthcare sector. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus If You:
Have knowledge of senior care services and an understanding of the aging population. Have a basic understanding of digital marketing: Social Media, SEO, and PPC.
Employment Type & Availability:
This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday.
Location:
This position is on-site in Asheville, North Carolina.
