Position Purpose:
Essential Pregnancy Services is a life-affirming and faith-based nonprofit pregnancy resource center that is dedicated to assisting women and families with unplanned pregnancies by helping them build a healthy future through support, education, health services, material assistance and referrals. The greatest needs of a teen or a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy is the medical care needed to answer her immediate questions on pregnancy, as well as the opportunity to be listened to in an environment that is safe and confidential. Essential Pregnancy Services (EPS) is seeking a detail-oriented, relationship-focused Advancement Coordinator to join our Advancement team. The Advancement Coordinator plays an important role in supporting EPS's fundraising and donor engagement efforts through donor stewardship, database management, donor communications, event coordination, and Advancement administration. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, this position will help strengthen relationships with EPS donors and partners, maintain effective Advancement systems and processes, and coordinate the successful execution of fundraising and donor-engagement events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Advancement & Donor Relations Maintain frequent communication and collaborate closely with the Director of Advancement regarding fundraising priorities, donor activity and Advancement initiatives. Support donor cultivation, stewardship, renewal and re-engagement efforts through regular phone, email and written communication. Complete timely gift acknowledgments to EPS donors, including thank-you phone calls and tax acknowledgment letters. Assist the Director of Advancement with donor cultivation and stewardship activities, including donor follow-up and preparation for donor meetings. Help identify and support opportunities to deepen relationships with current, prospective and lapsed donors. Assist with donor communications and messaging in collaboration with the Director of Advancement and Marketing team. Support other fundraising initiatives and donor-engagement activities as assigned. Donor Database & Advancement Operations Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the EPS donor database, including donor records, contact information, gifts and donor activity. Ensure donor interactions, stewardship activity and relevant relationship information are accurately and consistently documented. Assist the Director of Advancement with donor lists, segmentation, reporting and other information needed to support fundraising strategy and donor outreach. Help establish and maintain consistent Advancement processes and procedures. Complete Advancement administrative responsibilities as needed.
Events:
Coordinate Advancement event logistics in collaboration with and under the strategic direction of the Director of Advancement, including: GLOW (approximately 1,000 attendees) Breakfast for Life (approximately 400 attendees) Various donor cultivation and stewardship events Develop and maintain event timelines and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met. Coordinate event mailings and promotional activities in collaboration with Marketing. Oversee event registration and assist with online event setup. Coordinate vendors related to each event; cultivate vendor relationships and evaluate proposals with the Director of Advancement. Assemble, communicate with and help facilitate event committees. Collaborate with the Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator to identify volunteer needs, roles and responsibilities. Collaborate with the Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator regarding EPS church partnerships as appropriate for Advancement events. Assist with sponsorship fulfillment, donor recognition and post-event donor follow-up. Perform other event responsibilities as needed to ensure successful execution. Collaboration & Organizational Support Attends monthly EPS Staff Meeting Work collaboratively with the Marketing team on donor messaging and Advancement communications. Serve as a liaison between EPS staff and the EPS Auxiliary as appropriate. Build positive working relationships with donors, churches, businesses, volunteers and other EPS partners. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and overlapping deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with donors, churches, businesses, volunteers and community partners. Strong organizational and project-management skills. Ability to work collaboratively while also taking initiative and working independently. Ability to remain calm, flexible and solutions-oriented during high-pressure situations, particularly around major events. Commitment to EPS's life-affirming mission and ability to represent the organization and its values effectively. A learner mindset and willingness to grow professionally; EPS will provide training and development for the right candidate. Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, event coordination, project management or a related field preferred.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Bloomerang or other donor/customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Experience with OneCause or similar fundraising/event platforms. Experience supporting fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship or nonprofit events. Grant research experience is a plus. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds for event setup. Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends for fundraising events and other Advancement activities.
