Position:
Outreach & Social Services Coordinator Type of Position:
Part-time/hourly-16 hours per week/45 weeks per year/ (Generally Mon-Thurs 10am-2 pm)

    Social Services & Outreach Manager :
    Assist with outreach to increase services to members and caregivers by increasing attendance in our programs. Assist with increasing the well-being of members and caregivers. : Minimum of a four-year college degree or equivalent practical experience. : Minimum of 1 year experience in outreach, marketing, or social services. : Demonstrate sensitivity, , sound judgment, dependability, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to be flexible with schedule. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn additional platforms. Willingness to learn aphasia-friendly communication. :
    • In collaboration with supervisor, develop and implement outreach plan.
    • Attend health fairs/networking meetings in areas served on behalf of Adler Aphasia Center.
    • Present to various groups on Adler Aphasia Center such as rotary clubs, senior centers, etc.
    • Identify and build relationships with community and healthcare organizations.
    • Respond to inquiries and provide information about programs to the public.
    • Follow up with community stakeholders as needed.
    • Conduct cold calls to potential community partners to introduce our programs and gather information.
    • Distribute AAC marketing materials at medical offices, rehabilitation centers, etc. in areas served.
    • Help to gather community resource information in an accessible format and keep updated.
    • Assist with coordinating outreach events at Adler Aphasia Center
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activities and communications
    • Maintain organization of AAC marketing materials and gather materials for outreach events.
    • Support social service efforts by making phone calls on behalf of members and connecting members/caregivers to resources, as needed.
    • Help to coordinate events for caregivers and members.
    • Help to gather data for grant reports as requested by development staff including budgeting for grants and programs.
    • Other projects as assigned, such as coordination of student/member experiences, professional development for staff, other. Must work well with others and understand their position as part of a team of professionals working with each member and caregiver.
    • Must be open to flexible schedule.
    This position is 16 hours per week, however number of hours each day may vary depending on member and outreach needs. Occasional weekend availability required, typically 3-4 weekend days per year. How to
