That's what this role is about. Kaleidoscope is looking for a Recovery Coordinator who is passionate about supporting young adults experiencing housing instability and substance use challenges. This is an opportunity for someone who believes in meeting young people where they are, building authentic relationships, reducing harm, and creating meaningful pathways to recovery, stability, education, employment, and community. You won't be sitting behind a desk waiting for people to come to you. You'll be building relationships, facilitating groups, connecting young adults to resources, engaging community partners, and helping create a stronger recovery network for Albuquerque's young people. What You'll Do- Build Trust & Provide Direct Support to Young People Facilitate weekly educational groups for young adults. Identify young people who may benefit from recovery and behavioral health services and connect them with appropriate resources. Build positive peer connections and create opportunities for young adults to engage with supportive communities. Collaborate with community partners to bring recovery, substance use, overdose prevention, education, employment, and other resources directly to young people. Work alongside Street Outreach staff to ensure overdose prevention resources reach young people experiencing homelessness and the organizations and public safety partners who serve them. Lead Community Advisory Efforts Coordination of a Community Advisory Council (CAC). Support young people and community stakeholders in identifying challenges, developing solutions, and strengthening recovery resources. Help ensure young people's voices are represented in the services and resources designed to support them. Strengthen the Community Network Develop meaningful relationships with recovery service providers and other community organizations. Expand the network of resources available to young people. Partner with the City of Albuquerque and Public Safety to increase awareness of diversion opportunities and alternatives to justice-system involvement for unhoused young adults experiencing substance use challenges. Participate in outreach efforts to identify young people who could benefit from Kaleidoscope services. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. At least 1 year of experience working with adolescents and/or young adults in recovery, behavioral health, social services, or a related setting. Strong understanding of substance use disorders, trauma, housing instability, recovery models, and group facilitation. Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build productive relationships with community partners. Strong situational awareness and verbal de-escalation skills are preferred. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable access to a vehicle, and meet state-required automobile insurance minimums. Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of program materials and supplies. Must be able to assist with setting up and rearranging rooms for groups and events. Must be comfortable working in a dynamic community setting with varying noise levels and multiple people present. Regular use of computers, phones, and other office equipment is required.
