Community Educator/Campus Advocate - Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Program Renewal House is seeking a Community Educator/Campus Advocate to play a vital role in shaping how our community understands and responds to domestic violence and sexual assault. This position focuses on increasing awareness, strengthening prevention efforts, and ensuring individuals and professionals across St. Lawrence County have the knowledge and tools to support survivors. This is a dynamic, primarily community-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with diverse audiences and is passionate about education, prevention, advocacy, and creating meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver presentations and trainings to schools, college campuses, community groups, professionals, and partner agencies Serve as a liaison/advocate on local college campuses Provide education on domestic violence, sexual assault, healthy relationships, and available resources Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations, schools and campus professionals Adapt to meet the needs of different audiences, including youth and underserved populations Participate in outreach events and community initiatives Provide direct client support, crisis intervention, safety planning and advocacy Maintaining confidential client records and documentation

What We're Looking For:

Strong communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage both small and large groups Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage a flexible schedule Comfort traveling throughout St. Lawrence County Passion for community education, advocacy, and trauma-informed work A degree in education, counseling, social work, human services, or a related field is strongly preferred, but not required. Relevant experience in crisis counseling, human services, or lived experience will also be considered.
