Outreach Coordinator (Part-Time) First Congregational Church of Spencerport is seeking a visionary, relational, and community-minded Outreach Coordinator to provide leadership for the church's outreach and community engagement ministries. This individual will serve as the church's primary liaison to the Town of Ogden and the Greater Rochester community , cultivating relationships, building partnerships, recruiting volunteers, and helping the congregation live out its mission beyond the church walls. This is a leadership position for someone who is passionate about connecting people, strengthening communities, and helping the church become an active and visible presence in the lives of our neighbors.

Part-Time Outreach Coordinator Start Date:
August 1, 2026 Schedule Flexible schedule based on ministry and community needs Three (3) office hours each week for planning, meetings, and collaboration Evening and weekend hours as needed for outreach events and community engagement Responsibilities Provide leadership and vision for the church's outreach and community engagement ministries Serve as the primary liaison between the church and the Town of Ogden , the Greater Rochester Area , local organizations, schools, businesses, and community partners Build and maintain strong relationships throughout the community Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers for outreach initiatives and community events Plan and coordinate major outreach events, including the Summer Bash for Kids , Back2School Bash , and seasonal community programs Develop outreach opportunities that engage children, families, seniors, and underserved populations Collaborate with the Pastor, staff, and church leaders to identify new opportunities for ministry and community impact Represent the church at community meetings, networking events, and local partnerships Assist in promoting outreach initiatives through print, digital, and social media communications Qualifications Passion for community engagement, hospitality, and church-community relationships Demonstrated leadership and relationship-building skills Strong organizational, communication, and volunteer management abilities Comfortable representing the church in public and building partnerships with diverse organizations and individuals Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently while collaborating with a ministry team Experience in community engagement, nonprofit leadership, volunteer coordination, education, ministry, or a related field is preferred Comfortable using email, social media, and basic office technology Training Seminary training is not required. The church will provide training, mentoring, and ongoing support for the successful candidate. Compensation Compensation is commensurate with experience.

$23.33 - $28.09 per hour
