Shelter Programs Coordinator Full-Time | Marion, OH | Reports to the Shelter Manager Are you passionate about animal welfare and connecting with your community? Marion Area Humane Society is looking for an energetic, people-oriented Shelter Programs Coordinator to help find loving homes for our animals, build a strong volunteer team, and represent MAHS out in the community. What You'll Do Guide adopters through the process of finding and bringing home the right pet, from first conversation to final paperwork. Recruit, train, schedule, and support a team of shelter volunteers. Represent MAHS at community events, adoption fairs, and outreach activities. Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and rescue partners. Help spread the word through social media and promotional materials. Pitch in on day-to-day shelter needs, including animal care support. What We're Looking For A friendly, energetic, creative team player who is comfortable talking with the public. Someone dependable who takes ownership of their work. Comfort working around dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. Prior experience with animal welfare, volunteer coordination, or community outreach is a plus. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel); social media experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18+ with a valid driver's license and insurable driving record. Good to Know Full-time, 40 hours/week. Some evenings and weekends required for community events. Physical duties include standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work is a mix of indoor shelter time and outdoor/off-site community events in all weather.

Pay:

$17.00 per hour
