Job Description

Overview The Global Villagers Community (GVC), a nonprofit located in Monterey, California, contracts with a Community Liaison to support member communications, event promotion, and community growth. Responsibilities Community Communications
  • Upload and organize photos/videos after each event into a Google Photos album.
  • Maintain and update the GVC mailing list(s) in MailerLite (tag appropriately).
  • Compose, edit and send up to five emails per month using existing templates. Event Promotion
  • Print and distribute event fliers at designated locations in the Monterey area.
  • Promote upcoming events through free or low-cost community channels, such as local event calendars, Meetup, Nextdoor, and similar platforms. Reporting
  • Work closely with the Executive Director and Graphic Designer to ensure timely communications and promotion of GVC events.
The successful candidate will have strong people and written communication skills, and will be excellent at taking initiative. He/she will establish and maintain community connections and will be able to replicate (and improve upon) monthly systems. This position requires someone who lives within a reasonable radius (40 miles max) of Monterey. Bilingual capabilities are a plus and will be an asset when it comes to compensation. Compensation Starting at $20/hour, 10-12 hours/month . We will adjust pay and hours as we go along. Mileage for fl ier distribution will be reimbursed at the current federal mileage rate.

$200.00 - $300.00 per month
