1. Job description Workshop and event delivery: Leads planning and delivery of 12 community workshops and 6 wellness-fair and tabling events across Sacramento County, reaching an estimated 1,000 residents.

Trusted-messenger program:

Recruits, trains, and supports 10 trusted-messenger community ambassadors who reduce stigma around opioid and stimulant use.

Venue and partner relations:

Manages venue agreements and memoranda of understanding with trusted community centers and venues.

Materials coordination:

Coordinates development and distribution of multilingual outreach and education materials (Dari, Pashto, English) and submits materials for Center/DHCS pre-approval.

Naloxone outreach:

Supports scheduling and logistics for 8 naloxone trainings and distribution of 200 kits to approximately 150 households through the DHCS Naloxone Distribution Project. 2.

Requirements Experience:

Demonstrated experience planning and delivering community events, workshops, or health education sessions.

Relationship management:

Ability to build and sustain relationships with faith-based organizations, cultural associations, and community venues.

Language:

Proficiency in Dari and/or Pashto in addition to English strongly preferred.

Training delivery:

Comfortable training and supervising volunteer or community ambassador cohorts.

Other:

Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation; availability for occasional Saturday events. 3. Job duration 12 months grant-funded and contingent on continued SOR IV funding with possiblity of extension 4. Required travel 15% to 20%, local travel within Sacramento County to workshop and event venues. No out-of-state travel. 5. Minimum education Bachelor's degree in public health, community health, social work, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and community outreach experience considered. 6. Minimum experience 3 or more years of experience in community outreach, health education, or program coordination. 7. Work arrangement Hybrid. Substantial field time at community venues combined with office-based planning and coordination time. 8. Job location Sacramento (80% time), Manteca (10% time), and Stockton (10% time). 9. $58,000

Max:

$66,000 (full-time equivalent, annualized); actual compensation prorated to 0.45 FTE. 10.
