This Ally position is with Books for Classrooms; an organization that works to improve literacy of children from pre-school through 12th grade by providing free, high-quality, relevant, age-appropriate, educator-evaluated books and materials to educational entities. Books for Classrooms is looking for a Community Outreach Coordinator to develop the organization's community connections by coordinating outreach activities and developing structured communication systems that promote literacy opportunities. This includes creating materials that explain the organization's programs to educators and community stakeholders. All activities will focus on capacity-building and community awareness. Allies receive a $24,000 stipend with the option to opt into full medical, dental, and vision insurance. Ally graduates will also receive the AmeriCorps Segal Education Award valued at $7,395. Qualifications Proficiency in the following programs-
Word, Excel, Adobe, MailChimp, Shopify, Canva, Facebook, InDesign, and Instagram Most Desirable Experience:

MailChimp and Shopify Skill Building/ Will need training: InDesign Technically literate and proficient at standard office productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
WORKPLACE
Mostly remote- some in-person community events. Must be available in March 2027 to support outreach and preparation for Tucson Festival of Books (event is March 13-14) 8-5, M-F- most desirable. However, there will be times where a weekend or evening may be requested, especially with regard to community type events.

$2,400.00 per month

Are you available to participate in our Friday trainings between 8:00-5:00 (bi-weekly)?
