Job Description
Job Summary The Community Outreach Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships between the organization and the community. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing outreach programs that promote public health initiatives and support community engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for social work, and a commitment to enhancing community well-being through effective program development and volunteer management. Duties Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage diverse community groups. Conduct public speaking engagements to raise awareness about programs and initiatives. Oversee program development and project management to ensure successful execution of outreach activities. Collaborate with local organizations and stakeholders to enhance community partnerships. Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and inform future initiatives. Lead fundraising efforts to secure resources for community programs. Maintain administrative records related to outreach activities, including volunteer recruitment and program participation. Teach workshops or training sessions related to public health topics. Experience Candidates should have a background in social work, public health, or a related field. Experience in volunteer management, supervising teams, and public speaking is essential. Familiarity with program development, project management, marketing strategies, data collection methods, and social media management will be highly regarded. Additionally, experience in addiction counseling or teaching will be considered a valuable asset. Strong leadership abilities are crucial for success in this role, along with excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to community engagement.
