The Outreach and Engagement Coordinator serves as frontline FASD staff in the Central/Suncoast region, an established region with an existing FASD clinical team. The Coordinator builds the trusted relationships with community partners that ensure people are referred and guided correctly into FASD programs and supports, brings FASD awareness to new audiences, and works with the Outreach and Engagement Lead to get the word out about FASD training, resources, and services across the region.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
¨ Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field (Master's preferred) ¨ Minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach, public health, human services, or program coordination ¨ Familiarity with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), or willingness to build subject-matter expertise ¨ Background or interest in public health, community health outreach, or health education is valued ¨ Comfortable with public speaking and presenting at conferences ¨ Strong writing skills and comfort producing content for newsletters and social media; working knowledge of email marketing and social media platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Facebook, Instagram) to work in conjunction with the agency's marketing department
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
¨ Identify key parties, interagency meetings, and conferences within the Central/Suncoast region ¨ Serve as the community's trusted connection point for FASD referrals, ensuring people are guided personally into the right program or support ¨ Set up and attend meetings; present at regional conferences ¨ Identify, recruit, and maintain a pipeline of regional partners and sites for active FASD initiatives ¨ Make initial contact with potential regional partners; once a partner agrees to participate, provide a warm hand-off to the Outreach and Engagement Lead and/or Statewide Director of FASD Services, remaining involved in follow-up as needed ¨ Identify underserved or disengaged populations within the region and explore new and creative ways to build awareness and increase participation ¨ Build and maintain a referral list for the region to support family referrals and service integration ¨ Build and sustain ongoing relationships with regional partners, providers, and agencies ¨ Meet with legislators in the region, with the Outreach and Engagement Lead's assistance ¨ Help get the word out about FASD trainings, resources, and services in the region, in coordination with the Outreach and Engagement Lead ¨ Attend interagency meetings in the Central/Suncoast area on an ongoing basis ¨ Contribute content to newsletters and social media posts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) to promote program initiatives and goals in the region in conjunction with the agency's marketing department ¨ Track and report regional outreach metrics (e.g., social media reach, referral list growth, event/meeting participation) ¨ Determine placement of rack cards and other outreach materials in the region (e.g., health departments) and follow up with locations to maintain stock

¨ Understanding of and support for the mission of The Florida Center for Early Childhood and its programs ¨ Excellent oral and written communication skills ¨ Uses consistent, non-stigmatizing, person-first language when representing the program publicly (in print, online, and in person) ¨ Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, plus social media and email marketing platforms (Canva, Constant Contact) ¨ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills ¨ Ability to work independently as well as across teams ¨ Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and time management ¨ Ability to handle multiple projects with fast-approaching deadlines ¨ Ability to maintain client confidentiality according to established policies and applicable statutes ¨ Professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality ¨ Compliance with agency/state/legal mandates for reporting suspected abuse/maltreatment/neglect ¨ Valid Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage ¨ Ability to adhere to drug-free workplace policy

Occasionally requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires seated work at desk, including use of a computer. Ability to drive. This position may require travel. Much of the work can be performed remotely; however, regular travel throughout the Central/Suncoast region is required.
