This Ally position is with the Arizona Wildlife Federation; an organization that works on educating, inspiring and assisting individuals and organizations to value, conserve, enhance, manage an protect wildlife and wildlife habitat in Arizona. The Ally will work with AWF to help continue running and expanding our various women's programming. Bridges program - The Ally will help us by organizing bi monthly meet ups for the Bridges program participants in Tucson and Phoenix (These events will include kayaking, climbing, hiking, archery and shooting ranges to name a few). During events, the Ally will be helpful and connect with various Bridges alumni and new participants. After events, the Ally will follow up with participants and continue fostering relationships with various under-represented communities. This will occur through outreach , continuous newsletters with participants and alumni. Becoming an Outdoors Women - The Ally will work with other staff members to plan out, recruit and register participants for our BOW program. This includes helping to establish a volunteer list and help assign tasks, recruit and register participants through various forms of communication. The Ally will also maintain continuous communication with scholarship and other applicants. The ally will also attend four days of our multi day event in April, where they will help coordinate participants, instructors and volunteers. Allies receive a $24,000 stipend with the option to opt into full medical, dental, and vision insurance. Ally graduates will also receive the AmeriCorps Segal Education Award valued at $7,395. Qualifications Strong communication and personal connection skills Interest in the outdoors and wildlife Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired but not required Must be available for event days on October 24, November 6, November 21, December 9, and April 21-26 WORKPLACE This position is a hybrid position that does require in person presence in a variety of events at least twice a month in the fall as well as the spring. In the spring, we also have a multi day event. 8-5, M-F However, there will be times where a weekend or evening may be requested, especially with regard to community type events.
