A nonprofit can do meaningful work, but growing its impact starts with people in the community knowing the mission exists. Our Nashville team partners with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to create that connection through full-time, in-person outreach at community events and promotional locations, speaking directly with customers and community members about the cause. The Community Outreach Representative helps turn that introduction into genuine understanding and support. You'll meet directly with customers, share the nonprofit's mission and current initiatives, answer questions, and give people an opportunity to contribute through donations when the cause resonates with them. Responsibilities of the Community Outreach Representative Engage customers and other community members at events throughout the greater Nashville area and introduce the nonprofit organization we represent. Learn the nonprofit's mission, programs, and impact so you can explain why its work matters in a clear and personal way. Share stories and information that help customers understand how donations contribute to the organization's broader goals. Create welcoming conversations where customers feel comfortable asking questions and learning more before deciding whether to contribute. Support on-site fundraising efforts by helping interested customers complete their donations accurately and confidently. Share common questions and community feedback with other Community Outreach Representative team members to strengthen future outreach. Qualifications of the Community Outreach Representative Genuinely enjoys meeting new people and can make customers feel comfortable during an unexpected conversation. Able to talk about a meaningful cause with enthusiasm while still sounding natural and authentic. Comfortable approaching people in active community-event environments and starting conversations from scratch. Listens to what customers care about and can connect those interests back to the nonprofit's mission. Motivated by work where individual communication and effort can contribute to a larger fundraising goal. Interested in developing stronger public speaking, relationship-building, and outreach skills as a Community Outreach Representative.
