Job Description

Community Engagement Coordinator Reports To:
Director of Strategic Advancement Position Summary The Community Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in expanding ASHwell's community impact by building meaningful relationships that increase referrals, strengthen partnerships, and enhance community engagement. This position is primarily outward-facing, spending approximately 80% of time cultivating strategic relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders while 20% of time coordinating ASHwell's volunteer program. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder who enjoys networking, representing ASHwell in the community, and identifying opportunities that advance our mission. This position serves as an ambassador for ASHwell and helps ensure individuals who need our services know how to access them. Primary Responsibilities Community Outreach & Strategic Partnerships (80%) Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, nonprofits, businesses, schools, faith communities, and other referral partners. Conduct routine outreach through meetings, presentations, networking events, and community engagement activities. Create comprehensive quarterly outreach plan with metrics Increase referrals to ASHwell's programs and clinical services through strategic relationship development. Identify new partnership opportunities that align with ASHwell's mission and strategic goals. Represent ASHwell at community events, coalitions, conferences, and outreach opportunities. Coordinate educational presentations and resource sharing opportunities. Maintain an active outreach calendar and community engagement schedule. Track all outreach activities, meetings, referrals, and partnership development within organizational systems. Collaborate with internal teams to understand program needs and communicate opportunities back to community partners. Assist in implementing community engagement strategies that support organizational growth and visibility. Volunteer program coordination (20%) Recruit, onboard, and orient volunteers. Coordinate volunteer scheduling for events and organizational needs. Maintain volunteer records, applications, waivers, and hours. Ensure volunteers receive appropriate training and support. Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions through ongoing engagement efforts. Collaborate with staff to identify volunteer opportunities across departments. Success Measures (KPI) The Community Engagement Coordinator will be expected to: Outreach & Partnership Conduct a minimum of 20 weekly touchpoints including monthly in services/ tours Maintain active communication with existing referral partners. Represent ASHwell at community events each month. Increase referrals to ASHwell services through strategic outreach. Identify new partnership opportunities that support organizational priorities. Maintain accurate documentation of all outreach activities. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in communications, nonprofit management, public health, social work, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in community outreach, business development, partnership development, volunteer management, or nonprofit engagement. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Highly organized with strong project management skills. Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities. Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite, Raisers Edge. Passion for ASHwell's mission and commitment to serving diverse communities.
Compensation:
$65,000-$68,000 per year
