Job Description
Catholic Parish Life Coordinator - $23 per hour, based on experience - Beale Air Force Base, California Are you someone who enjoys bringing people together and keeping things organized behind the scenes? Do you have a good understanding of the Catholic faith and want to help create a welcoming and well-supported parish community? The role As the Catholic Parish Life Coordinator, you'll play an important part in supporting the Catholic community at Beale Air Force Base. Working independently, you'll coordinate parish activities, support volunteers, and help ensure worship services and special events run smoothly. This is a 1099 contractor position offering a minimum of 8 office hours per week, including weekends as needed. Services are primarily provided at Foothills Chapel, with occasional work at Valley Chapel. Key Responsibilities You'll be responsible for: Coordinating parish administration and day-to-day activities. Scheduling and supporting volunteers for worship services and parish events. Organizing Vacation Bible School, Parish Advisory Council meetings, and seasonal celebrations. Maintaining parish calendars, announcements, and presentation slides. Preparing worship services by working closely with the priest, chaplain, volunteers, and chapel staff. Collecting and organizing weekly prayer requests. Tracking attendance and preparing event reports. Maintaining accurate records and protecting confidential information. Coordinating facility requests and assisting with ministry planning. Attending required meetings and training. The Benefits Independent Contractor (1099) position. One-year base contract with the potential for four additional option years. The person We're looking for someone who has: A general knowledge of the Catholic faith and its religious practices. A high school diploma or GED. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience coordinating volunteers, events, or parish activities. Confidence using Microsoft Office and standard office equipment. The ability to pass a background check and work on a military installation. Fluency in spoken and written English. A professional, dependable approach and the ability to work well in a pluralistic military chapel environment.
