Children and Youth Teacher Unitarian Universalist Church of Los Gatos Los Gatos, CA Job Details Part-time $24 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Paid sick time Qualifications Collaboration Small group instruction Working with youth Full Job Description Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Los Gatos (UUFLG), is seeking a warm and reliable Children and Youth Teacher. UUFLG is a congregation that welcomes diverse spiritual beliefs and practices. On Sunday morning, teachers work with a small group of kids of all ages, providing activities and supervising play. Our curriculum focuses on UU principles and practices, diverse cultural celebrations, and the development of life skills. Position Details Sundays, 10:45 a.m - 12:15 p.m. Part-time, with flexible Sundays off by mutual agreement Los Gatos, CA Responsibilities Co-lead a small classroom of all ages children Facilitate engaging lessons provided by the Director of Religious Exploration Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing environment Occasional purchasing of supplies for classroom (cost and time are reimbursed) Attend and contribute to monthly Children and Youth Committee meetings Collaborate with staff Qualifications Experience working with children preferred Background in education or related field a plus Ideal for a retired teacher, education student, or anyone who loves working with children Must be dependable and able to pass a background check
