Job Description

Job Summary The Catholic Religious Education Coordinator plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing educational programs that align with our mission. This position requires a passionate individual who can lead initiatives, communicate effectively, and foster an environment of learning and support. The ideal candidate will have experience in mentoring and event planning, as well as a background in Christian counseling or social work, to provide holistic education and support to children and families. Please note, this positions requires 1-2 references, and a Priest/Pastor letter confirming church affiliation. Duties Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs tailored to the needs of children and families. Lead workshops and training sessions for staff and volunteers to enhance their educational skills. Collaborate with community organizations to promote educational initiatives. Plan and coordinate events that engage the community and raise awareness about our programs. Provide mentoring support to staff, volunteers, and participants in educational activities. Utilize Christian counseling principles to guide educational approaches and support services. Maintain accurate records of program participation and outcomes for continuous improvement. Experience Proven leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Experience working with children in an educational or social work setting is highly desirable. Background in hospice care or bereavement support is a plus, providing valuable insight into sensitive educational topics. Strong event planning skills to successfully organize community engagement activities. A commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment through mentoring and guidance. This role is Part Time and is a 1099 Contractor position. It is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact through education while embodying compassion and understanding in their approach.
