Job Description

Saint Teresa of Avila Catholic Student Center is seeking a joyful, faithful, and mission driven Catholic to serve as our next Director of Evangelization and Worship . Located adjacent to Valparaiso University, Saint Teresa exists to help students encounter Jesus Christ through the sacraments, authentic community, and lifelong discipleship. We are looking for someone who desires to build a vibrant Catholic culture where beautiful liturgy, intentional evangelization, and personal accompaniment lead students into a deeper relationship with Christ and His Church. This full-time ministerial position, with a full benefits package, offers a unique opportunity to help shape the spiritual life of college students while collaborating with our Chaplain, FOCUS missionaries, staff, interns, and student leaders. Responsibilities The Director of Evangelization and Worship will: Coordinate the liturgical life of Saint Teresa, including liturgical planning and scheduling of ministers. Recruit, train, and mentor student liturgical ministers and volunteers. Collaborate with the Music Coordinator to ensure beautiful and reverent worship throughout the liturgical year. Build relationships with college students through personal accompaniment and campus outreach. Develop student leaders who will serve the Church on campus and beyond. Coordinate retreats, faith formation opportunities, service projects, and evangelization initiatives. Collaborate closely with FOCUS missionaries and Campus Ministry Interns. Oversee the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) and accompany those preparing to enter the Catholic Church.
Qualifications Applicants should:
Be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. Love Jesus Christ and desire to share the Gospel Possess strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Have experience in Catholic ministry, campus ministry, youth ministry, liturgy, or evangelization. Be able to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, students, and volunteers. Bachelor's degree in theology, pastoral ministry, religious education, or a related field is preferred. Why Saint Teresa? Saint Teresa is more than a place to attend Mass.
