About 500 people worship at Oak Ridge each Sunday. Overview Oak Ridge is seeking a qualified candidate to provide support to the Senior Pastor in various business operations. Responsibilities include compiling financial data for departmental budgets, managing membership information, handling church property needs, and offering technical support for church technology systems. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, capable of working with minimal supervision, and exhibit a high level of integrity. Responsibilities Work under the direction of the Senior Pastor to help to facilitate the vision, clarify goals and objectives, and strategies to develop innovative programs and to provide overall direction of property and the legal, financial, and business affairs of the ministry Work with Pastor, Executive Assistant, and Finance Team to ensure that proper accounting and membership records are maintained - to include but are not limited to: Individual Contribution Records and Membership Statistics Compiles budget data for the Finance Team, and Senior Pastor in the budget planning and process to help to determine priorities for the church's programs and ministries. Maintaining the Ministry Employee Handbook Responsible for coordinating and scheduling outside use of facilities Coordinate and manage outside corporations and ventures that the ministry has vested in Purchase church and office equipment, and furnishings Research and evaluate all financial commitments and assist in the process of awarding contracts, bids, for work to improve or repair church buildings and property Troubleshoot and correct with media and technology teams problems with church computers, printers, and software Responsible for final approval of church advertisement and printed materials Meet with Senior Pastor's Executive Assistant to provide mutual support and to encourage teamwork from all other staff members Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field preferred Three to five years business administrative experience preferred (church or secular) Must maintain strict confidentiality in all church and member matters Ability to work under moderate supervision with latitude for independent judgment, discretion, and initiative Competence in public relations, interpersonal relationships, trust building, data gathering, and reporting Experience in budget management to ensure church spending aligns with the approved budget Familiarity with IRS non-profit organization laws, rules, and regulations Leadership experience in service and in coordinating vendors and entities related to church operations Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with composure and flexibility to meet deadlines Ability to delegate tasks, evaluate progress regularly, and collaborate as a team player with staff and volunteer leaders Conflict resolution and collaboration skills to maintain positive relationships with ministry workers, vendors, and congregants Represents Christ with intellectual integrity and demonstrates an ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ Understands the church's history, policies, and doctrine, and agrees with the vision of Oak Ridge Church and the Senior Pastor Supports the mission and vision of the church and remains in good standing with church leadership Exceptional organizational skills Technological proficiency with strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and confidence in internet research Grant writing knowledge preferred Valid driver's license Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong time management abilities #SHR123
