Position Overview Resurrection Catholic Church is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Director of Youth Formation & Education to lead and grow our parish youth faith formation programs. This position plays a vital role in advancing the mission of the Catholic Church by providing leadership, education, and spiritual formation opportunities for youth and their families. The Director will oversee youth ministry initiatives, sacramental preparation programs, volunteer catechists, retreats, events, and discipleship efforts while fostering a vibrant Catholic culture grounded in Church teaching. a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Essential Responsibilities Lead and administer the parish Confirmation Program. Develop, coordinate, and oversee youth formation activities, retreats, events, and sacramental celebrations. Assist in shaping and implementing the vision for youth ministry within the parish. Recruit, register, and engage youth participants in parish formation programs. Recruit, train, support, and supervise volunteer catechists, faith-sharing leaders, and chaperones. Facilitate effective communication with youth, parents, volunteers, and parish staff. Integrate technology and digital communication tools into ministry efforts. Create and maintain annual ministry calendars and program schedules. Ensure fiscal responsibility by managing ministry expenditures and program resources. Maintain compliance with diocesan Safe Environment requirements. Attend diocesan workshops, meetings, and continuing education opportunities. Collaborate with parish staff and pastor to support the mission and goals of the parish. Demonstrated commitment to the teachings, mission, and values of the Catholic Church. Ability to articulate and defend Catholic doctrine with confidence and charity. Bachelor's Degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Education, or related field preferred. Experience in youth ministry, faith formation, religious education, or a related ministry area preferred. Knowledge of Catholic curriculum, catechetical resources, and sacramental preparation programs preferred. Familiarity with St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body preferred. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
