Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Quality Of Life Coordinator to enhance the well-being and engagement of residents in our senior living community. In this vital role, you will help to maintain a quality of life in which each sister can live out her vocation as a Franciscan Sister of the Atonement as fully as possible. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors while working within a dynamic team committed to excellence in elder care. Responsibilities Availability to the Resident and assisted Living Sisters within the community for dialogue-maintains regular communication while obsefving appropriate confidentiality Will assist the Sisters in finding resources that they need, ie: counseling, electron assistance Collaborate with the Volunteer Development Coordinator to assign volunteers to individual Sisters or projects. Will assist the Director of Healthcare in ensuring that any Sisters admitted to the hospital and other facility have everything they need. Will visit Sisters while in the hospital or other facility in collaboration with Director of Healthcare and the Residence Coordinator. Develops and implements a diverse calendar of activities that cater to the interests and abilities of the sisters. This includes physical exercises, arts and crafts, social events and educational activities. Works closely with other staff members, volunteers and healthcare professionals to ensure activities are safe, appropriate and beneficial for the Sisters' health and wellbeing. Reports to Director of Health regularly on the health and wellbeing of the sisters. Develops and maintains a professional relationship with the other departments on the campus Assist Sisters with contacting their relatives and friends, in person, writing, or virtually as needed. Collaborate with the Volunteer Development Coordinator to assign volunteers to individual Sisters or projects. Requirements Social worker/case manager or equivalent Ability to use a variety of electronic equipment or willingness to learn Willingness to listen attentively and find solutions to problems Ability to work independently/collaboratively Ability to be flexible Respect and understanding of religious life and the Catholic Faith; or be willing to learn basics Ability to seek out resources Is flexible enough to assume a wide range of responisbilities Has adequate computer skills to do Word, Excel, Internet, and others as needed Valid Drivers License and a safe driving record Understanding of geriatric needs Join us as a Quality Of Life Coordinator where your enthusiasm fuels vibrant community experiences!
