In this vital role, you will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for the educational ministries of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church. Working collaboratively with the Senior Pastor, church staff, Session, and the Christian Education Division (CED), you will seek to cultivate lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ through faithful teaching, intentional spiritual formation, and opportunities for Christian fellowship and service. The DCE oversees the church's ministries of Christian education for all ages, including Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Kirk Club, Bible studies, small groups, seasonal educational opportunities, and special congregational initiatives. The DCE supervises the Christian Education Assistant and Nursery Coordinator and is supported administratively by the Administrative Assistant to the Pastors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a transitional period, ensuring continuity and vibrancy in our educational ministries.
