Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kids Ministry Director to lead our Island Kidz Ministry which represents newborn up to 5th grade. In this vital role, you will oversee the Sunday Morning Experience as well as oversee a semester-based Wednesday Night Program. (Sept-Nov and Jan-May) We are looking for someone to foster a welcoming environment for families, and collaborate with church leadership to promote a strong foundation of faith among young members. Your leadership will inspire volunteers, support parents, and ensure that every child experiences the love and teachings of Jesus in a safe, nurturing setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the spiritual journey of children while strengthening our church's mission, to share the Message of Jesus and lead people to follow Him. Responsibilities Organize and lead the Sunday Morning Experience using Amazing Life Curriculum which aligns with our church's mission and values. Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to create a safe, engaging environment for children's spiritual growth. Coordinate age-appropriate activities, including a semester-based Wednesday night program for kids and families. Foster strong relationships with families, providing mentorship and support in their children's spiritual development. Ensure compliance with safety policies, including background checks that meet our organization's standards and best practices. Collaborate with church leadership to integrate children's ministry into overall church programs and community outreach efforts. Manage communication efforts to keep families informed about upcoming programs, events, and volunteer opportunities. Qualifications A committed Christ-follower, passionate about seeing kids learn about Jesus in safe, fun, and exciting environments. Bachelors degree in education or some related field working with children. Proven experience working with children in a church or community setting, including teaching experience. Strong background in education and childcare experience or youth ministry roles. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers and staff effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, volunteers, and church leadership.. Ability to pray with, encourage and support our church families. Passion for a commitment to fostering spiritual growth among our kids at HHICC.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
