Early Childhood Saturday Lead (Part-Time) Central Church - 3.8 Sioux Falls, SD Job Details Part-time 11 hours ago Qualifications Volunteer support Volunteer management Operations coordination Mid-level Volunteer coordination Preschooler care Clean workspace maintenance Providing care for clients Full Job Description Reports to: Saturday Director Position type: Paid, part-time Weekly hours: ~5 hours (with capacity to flex up to ~20 hours as needs grow) Overview The ECS Lead is a paid team member who supports the Early Childhood area (EC) and nursery areas during Saturday services. This role ensures rooms are set up, staffed, and running smoothly for children from birth through Kindergarten. Key Responsibilities During the Week 1-on-1 check-in once a month with Saturday Director (0.25 hrs) Help onboard new volunteer leaders (0.5 hrs) Provide leader care and support (0.5 hrs) Before Services (arrive ~3:00) Set up EC rooms and hallway spaces (1.5 hrs) During Services (4:30 start) Lead and oversee the EC area (1 hr) — the hub for birth/1-year-olds, 2-year-olds, and 3-Kinder-year-old rooms Run the EC Huddle with volunteer leaders before/during service Support the EC Communicator (a volunteer role) and coordinate with the Saturday Night Director After Services (ending ~5:30) Oversee clean-up of EC spaces (0.5 hrs) Scope Supports care for approximately 20-60 children on a typical Saturday Works alongside the Saturday Director (who handles overall scheduling/organization and the 1st-5th grade Communicator role), the Child Care Coordinator, and volunteer leaders Key Relationships Saturday Director - primary point of coordination for scheduling and overall Saturday operations Volunteer Leaders (EC Communicator, room leaders) - directly supported and cared for by the EC Lead
