Director of Children's Ministry

July 2025 The right candidate will have a mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a clear calling and passion for children's ministry and gifts to lead. We are looking for a team member who works well with children, parents, church and staff. ¨
Children's Ministry:
¨ Inspire, equip, and partner with parents to raise their kids to know and follow Jesus. ¨ Oversee and direct all children's ministries in the church. ¨ Build, oversee, and nurture teams of children's ministry volunteers. ¨ Offer weekly children's events that kids love to attend. ¨ Provide or recruit someone for Children's moments in worship services. ¨ Select and oversee curriculum for Children's ministry. ¨ Create and oversee yearly budget for Children's ministry. ¨ Coordinate with Wesley Day school,
Student Ministry, and Adult Discipleship:
¨ Work with Wesley Day School, Student ministry, and Adult Discipleship to develop and provide ministries that help families connect with Wesley and grow in their faith. ¨ Be a team member who shares the ministry of the church and supports the ministries of other staff members and volunteers. ¨ Create transition plans and events that help move Children into Student ministry at appropriate times. Confirmation Classes etc. ¨ Maintain background checks for volunteers and ensure safety of Children at all times. ¨ Coordinate with Children's Music Ministry ¨ Work with Choir director to develop opportunities for children to contribute music and performances for worship, Vacation Bible School, and other events. ¨ Assist in recruiting and retaining volunteers to help with Children's choirs. ¨ Serve as program director: ¨ Assist the Senior Pastor and other staff with vision, brainstorming, and producing creative ideas for ways to engage children and families in ministry. ¨ Oversee special events such as Vacation Bible School, Fall Festival, or coordinate with person who is responsible for the event. ¨ Coordinate special service, including but not limited to Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and Concert series. ¨ Serve as an ex officio member of the Administrative Council. ¨ Handle all issues related to children's ministry supplies, storage, and classrooms. ¨ Assist the other pastors in providing care to the congregation, particularly those involved in Children's ministry. ¨ Maintain and update the church nurseries as needed. ¨ Perform all other duties assigned by the Senior Pastor. ¨ Adhere to the
