Job Description
Description Church of the Incarnation is a resource-sized parish located just north of downtown Dallas, Texas, with members from across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our core practices include worshipping the Holy Trinity in the Great Tradition of the Church, discipling Christians toward maturity in faith, serving the poor, and developing leaders for the renewal of God's Church locally and around the world. Incarnation's worship life consists of six Sunday services (four traditional, two contemporary), weekday Morning Prayer, a weekly healing service, holiday services, and weddings and funerals.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate for Liturgy and Worship - Traditional Coordinator will aid the Assistant Rector for Worship in coordinating liturgical details for all Traditional and Weekday services and serving as the primary leader of the Traditional worship volunteer teams at Church of the Incarnation. RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing organizational details related to Traditional Liturgy & Worship volunteers, including— Scheduling (whether scheduling directly, or in coordination with a volunteer): Traditional servers on a quarterly basis Traditional ushers on a yearly basis A standard rotation of weekday servers
Communication:
Maintain consistent communication with volunteers, including but not limited to— Weekly email correspondence Monthly e-Newsletter Personal contact for individuals with multiple absences, etc.
Training:
Scheduling and managing details for training and re-training events
Recruiting:
Assisting the Assistant Rector for Worship in volunteer recruiting efforts Planning seasonal volunteer appreciation events Manage Safeguarding summits for Liturgy & Worship volunteers, in conjunction with the Director of Administrative Services Maintaining up-to-date procedural records for Altar Guild, in conjunction with Altar Guild Directresses Attend all clergy liturgical rehearsals to prepare notes for service volunteers Coordinating details for various special events or services hosted at Incarnation, including but not limited to: Espace (entering all services for traditional worship, weekday, Sundays and special services) monitoring for changes and adjusting as needed. Christmas Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols Advent Lessons & Carols RADVO Conference Traditional Worship services All Souls' Requiem Managing the bulletin approval process Administrative tasks related to the weekday services: Preparing the Ordo Kalendar for servers Training and re-training weekday servers, as needed Communicating season-specific information Attending all departmental meetings, including planning meetings, weekly Altar Guild meetings, special event meetings, etc. Maintain data records for new members, transfers, and life events in FellowshipOne Receive visitor cards and follow up. Maintaining a teamwork approach to ministry and fostering a healthy and positive work environment for volunteers and staff This position will require one to have or learn proficiency in the following software: Ministry Scheduler Pro Planning Center Online Adobe InDesign ProPresenter eSpace Previous administrative experience in a church, nonprofit, or ministry setting.
