Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children Director to lead and nurture the spiritual growth, engagement, and well-being of children within our faith-based community. You will coordinate educational activities, oversee volunteer teams, and collaborate with church leadership to create impactful experiences for children of all ages. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging religious education programs and activities tailored for children, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and values Lead and manage a team of volunteers and staff dedicated to children's ministry, providing training, support, and mentorship Organize special events, holiday celebrations, and outreach initiatives that promote community involvement and spiritual growth Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children feel valued and inspired to explore their faith Collaborate with clergy, youth volunteers, and other church leaders to integrate children's programs into broader church activities Guide religious studies topics, including biblical teachings and Christian counseling principles suitable for young audiences Engage with families through communication channels such as newsletters or meetings to encourage participation in children's programs and foster community bonds Qualifications Proven experience working with children in religious or educational settings; prior children's director experience is highly desirable Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers and staff effectively Knowledge of pastoral theology and religious teaching methods Excellent communication skills to connect with children, parents, volunteers, and church leadership Experience in event planning, program development, and fundraising within nonprofit faith-based organizations Ability to work as part of a team within a nonprofit faith organization while demonstrating compassion and cultural sensitivity Join us in making a lasting impact on young lives by guiding them through their spiritual journey.
