Overview Join our vibrant faith community as a Parish Catechetical Leader, where you will inspire and guide the spiritual growth of children, youth, and adults through dynamic religious education programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster faith formation, nurture Christian values, and build lasting relationships within the parish. As a key leader in our church's educational mission, you will coordinate catechetical initiatives, support families, and promote a welcoming environment rooted in love and service. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive catechetical curricula for various age groups, ensuring alignment with church teachings and community needs Lead and mentor catechists, volunteers, and staff to deliver engaging faith formation experiences Organize and oversee religious education classes, retreats, workshops, and special events that enhance spiritual development Provide Christian counseling and bereavement support to parishioners experiencing loss or life challenges Collaborate with parish leadership to plan fundraising activities that support educational programs and community outreach initiatives Foster strong communication channels with families to encourage active participation in faith-based activities Coordinate social work efforts within the parish to assist those in need and promote social justice initiatives Experience Proven leadership experience in religious education, youth ministry, or related fields within a faith-based setting Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage children, youth, and adults in meaningful faith discussions Experience in event planning, program development, and volunteer coordination Knowledge of hospice care principles and social work practices is a plus for supporting parishioners facing difficult life circumstances Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor others and build community connections Background in Christian counseling or pastoral care highly desirable Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and foster an inclusive environment This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals' spiritual journeys while strengthening our parish community. Pay:
$11.00 - $14.00 per hour
