The Director of Ethnic Ministries focuses on the pastoral, sacramental, devotional, linguistic, cultural, and communal support of ethnic groups within the diocese, to include Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islanders and Native American communities. The Director seeks to foster the vision of intercultural diversity, and encourages the journeying together as brothers and sisters, strengthening the unity of the Body of Christ. The Director helps these communities celebrate their faith by recognizing feast days and honoring the contributions of ethnic communities to the life of the Church, assisting parishes to flourish in faith and communion. The Director provides a diocesan connection for the pastoral needs of the various ethnicities within the diocese in collaboration with other diocesan offices. This individual serves on the Bishop's Cabinet.
