Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Protestant Religious Education Coordinator to oversee a comprehensive, ecumenical religious education ministry for military families at Fairchild Air Force Base. The coordinator will manage programs for children, youth, and adults while empowering lay volunteers. Responsibilities Oversees an ecumenical Protestant RE program, including Sunday Children's Church, youth groups, adult studies, and VBS. Recruits, equips, and supports volunteer teachers using a ministry multiplication model. Selects curriculum, orders instructional supplies, and submits facility request schedules. Handles program publicity, updates information displays, and sends community event reminders. Tracks attendance, maintains volunteer rosters, and completes monthly AFCCARS data entries. Organizes an annual teacher/volunteer appreciation event. Qualifications High School diploma required, with demonstrated capability to teach basic Christian doctrine in military or ecumenical settings. Must submit 2 professional letters of reference AND 1 Protestant Pastor letter of reference. Must be available for a technical evaluation interview if requested. Must obtain Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications within 90 days. Must clear a Child Care Criminal History Background Check (CCNAC-I) including FBI fingerprinting, financial, and driving record reviews.
