Responsibilities:
Guide students through their academic and extracurricular work and ultimately, the college admissions process. Offer advice regarding choice of career/major, coursework, college selection, and all related areas that compose a successful high school career. Help students navigate and fill out the UC, CSU and Common Application. Help students brainstorm ideas and edit college admissions essays.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from a top university. Graduate degree(s) preferred although not required. Past experience in academic counseling required. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Experience as a college counselor is preferred. Solid follow-through skills and detail oriented. Bilingual. Enthusiasm!

Work Hours:
Part-time New Counselors will have a probationary period of three months and a training period for the first month. After the training then Counselors are allowed to take as many students as they would like to have in order to increase hours. Maximum 40 hours per week. Depending on demand, this process can take several months. We guarantee a minimum of 15 - 20 hours of work per week regardless of caseload. Compensation The pay rate for this position will be determined based on your educational background and relevant experience.
