Job Description

At iLEARN Education, we believe every child deserves an educational environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and personally. We are seeking a relationship-driven Private School Admissions Counselor to guide students and families through the K-12 private school admissions process. This role focuses on helping families identify the right school fit, develop thoughtful admissions strategies, navigate testing and application requirements, and confidently manage the admissions journey from planning through enrollment. The ideal candidate understands the independent school landscape, enjoys working closely with students and parents, and is comfortable leading consultations, developing admissions plans, and providing personalized guidance throughout the process. What You'll Do Meet with students and families to evaluate academic backgrounds, strengths, interests, learning styles, and educational goals Develop personalized school placement strategies and recommend appropriate private school options Help families identify schools that align with each student's academic profile, personality, interests, and long-term goals Guide families through admissions timelines, requirements, and application processes Support preparation for admissions testing, including ISEE and SSAT Prepare students and parents for admissions interviews Review and provide feedback on admissions essays, parent statements, and application materials Monitor application progress and ensure families stay on track with deadlines Collaborate with iLEARN teachers, tutors, and academic specialists to support student readiness Maintain organized records and communicate regularly with families regarding progress and next steps Build meaningful relationships with students and families throughout the admissions process Who You Are Passionate about helping students and families make informed educational decisions An excellent communicator who can build trust and maintain strong relationships Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple families and timelines Thoughtful, strategic, and able to personalize recommendations based on each student's unique profile Comfortable leading parent consultations and advising meetings Preferred Qualifications Experience guiding families through K-12 private school admissions and school placement processes Strong understanding of independent school admissions Experience conducting parent consultations and student advising meetings Familiarity with Orange County, Los Angeles, and surrounding private school landscapes strongly preferred Experience with ISEE, SSAT, admissions interviews, and application planning Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills Mandarin Chinese preferred Why Join iLEARN Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students and families Collaborative and supportive team environment Established reputation within the local education community Long-term growth opportunities Ability to help students find schools where they can thrive and succeed
Pay:
