Job Description
This role requires a combination of clinical knowledge, business development expertise, and a passion for improving behavioral health outcomes. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, self-directed, and thrives in a fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong partnerships with: Hospitals, health systems, and emergency departments and discharge planners Primary care physicians and physician groups Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners Licensed therapists and private practices Substance use and mental health treatment providers Case managers and social workers Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) Insurance case managers Community organizations and professional associations Serve as a liaison between referral partners, admissions, clinical teams, and leadership. Activity Expectations Conduct approximately 85 field activities per month. Facilitate a minimum of 10 facility tours monthly. Deliver at least 5 educational presentations or in-services each month. Meet established referral and admissions goals. Develop and maintain an active pipeline of prospective referral partners. Maintain accurate documentation within CRM systems. Assist with the development of marketing materials and educational content. Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to leadership. Qualifications Proven experience in B2B sales, medical sales, or pharmaceutical sales with a focus on healthcare or clinical environments. Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral health outreach, healthcare business development, physician relations, admissions, or clinical operations. Experience in mental health, substance use disorder treatment, or integrated behavioral healthcare strongly preferred. Established professional relationships within the San Diego healthcare market are highly desirable.
