Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for an Admission Representative for Transfer Recruitment in the department of Admission that is responsible for developing and implementing strategies related to marketing, recruiting, admission, and enrollment of transfer and continuing studies students at Pittsburg State University. The Admission Representative for Transfer Recruitment is a resource to all university personnel as it relates to creating a smooth transition into Pittsburg State University. Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment Activities

  • 50% Develops and coordinates a comprehensive recruitment plan, detailing communication and engagement strategies designed to increase the enrollment of transfer students Manages recruitment activities to attract new transfer students Provides support to prospective transfer students on admission procedures, academic planning, credit transfer policies, and scholarships Manages a recruitment territory and travels to community colleges, transfer fairs, and other related recruitment programs and events on behalf of Pittsburg State University Assists the Director of Admission in completing the activities related to recruitment of new undergraduate students and serving as a liaison between the Office of Admission, PSU academic departments, and community colleges Assumes the responsibility for updating transfer guides, contributing to communication in planning and marketing materials content, articulating communication, and serving as the coordinator of special visit days for transfer students Shares in the campus mission and philosophy of providing students with a fulfilling university experience before, during, and after the admission process Relationship Building•25% Corresponds with prospective students, applicants, university alumni, community college advisors, and members of the university community Provides information on admission standards and curricular and co-curricular programs as appropriate Maintains close working relationships with offices including the Student Affairs and Enrollment Management division, particularly Financial Aid and Academic Advising Admission Office Support•10% Aids in the day-to-day operations of the Admission Office Conducts campus tours and meets with prospective students and families Attends Admission staff meetings and main campus events as deemed necessary by the Director CRM Management•10% Manages data, prospects, applicants, and recruitment territories through the customer relations management (CRM) system Enhances student relationships and communication timelines Connects students with other areas of the University as needed Other Duties as needed•5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Director Education and Experience Required Education and Experience•Time of Hire Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree.

These competencies are typically developed and rigorously validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and intensive experiential experience inherent in a formal degree program. Preferred Education and Experience Graduate of Pittsburg State University License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation Valid Driver's License Screening Services (Background Checks): Your employment with Pittsburg State University is contingent on a satisfactory criminal background and sex offender check.
