Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Admissions, the candidate willmanage a recruitment territory and implement programmatic initiatives thatcorrespond to the strategic plan (i.e., campus visits, black male recruitment,alumni programming, social media, etc.) The candidate will be provided arecruitment objective, and with mentoring/guidance by the Sr. AssociateDirector of Admissions, devise a strategic plan to implement it. AA/EOE Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Slate or Banner systems. Previous experience with marketing/recruiting. Special Requirements Summary Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed to accomplish recruiting objectives. Work Hours Work hours are from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Candidate must be available to work weekend hours due to travel and recruitment events. KSA's Knowledge, Education, Experience, and Proficiencies Must possess a valid United States driver's license Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability and willingness to travel extensively Demonstrated organizational and planning skills, including proven expertise in follow-up and follow-through to completion within established time frames A high level of personal integrity and professionalism Familiarity with online and PC-based technology, including the internet and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Description Effectively communicate the Xavier mission to prospective students, high school counselors, alumni, and key stakeholders Extensive travel representing Xavier in geographic regions at high schools, college fairs and churches Independently identify high schools, churches and other organizations to visit Assist in planning and implementing on-campus and off-campus admissions programs Counsel transfer students, entering freshmen and international students through the admissions process Conduct on-campus interviews with prospective students and their parents Follow up in a timely manner on inquiries through phone calls and other appropriate correspondence Evaluate applicant files and sit on the admissions committee Identify students through the recruitment process that will meet Xavier's admission criteria Exercise independent judgment when bringing students of question before senior staff for admission Assist with planning special projects in conjunction with the overallstrategic plan Posting Detail Information Posting Number S503P Number of Vacancies 1 Desired Start Date 09/11/2026 Position End Date (if temporary) Posting Date 08/30/2026 Application Review Date Closing Date Open Until Filled Yes Special Instructions to Applicants Attach online only your resume, cover letter and contact information for three references.
