Admissions Counselor/Senior Admissions Counselor, Graduate Admissions Salary:

40k 46k The Admissions Counselor/Senior Admissions Counselor for the Office of Graduate Admissions is responsible for recruiting, engaging, and enrolling prospective graduate students at Elms College, with a significant emphasis on off-campus recruitment and travel throughout assigned markets. The Admissions Counselor/Senior Admissions Counselor manages prospective students throughout the enrollment process, from initial inquiry through enrollment, and develops relationships with colleges and universities, employers, community organizations, and other partners that support graduate student recruitment. This position represents Elms College at graduate fairs, career and professional events, employer and community events, and other recruitment opportunities. As a member of the Graduate Admissions team, the Admissions Counselor/Senior Admissions Counselor works independently to manage assigned recruitment territories, programs, and populations, identifies opportunities to expand Elms College's presence in key markets, and contributes to recruitment initiatives designed to achieve graduate enrollment goals. The position may be filled at the Admissions Counselor or Senior Admissions Counselor level, with title and salary determined based on the selected candidates qualifications and experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

Conduct extensive recruitment travel throughout assigned territories, representing Elms College at graduate and professional school fairs, college and university events, employer events, community and professional events, and other recruitment programs. Independently develop, manage, and evaluate a robust travel and recruitment schedule based on enrollment goals, historical performance, market opportunities, and prospective student data. Build and maintain relationships with colleges and universities, employers, community organizations, professional associations, and other partners to develop pipelines for graduate enrollment, ensuring consistent and timely follow-up with prospective partners and students. Manage assigned recruitment territories, academic programs, and prospective student populations, developing targeted outreach strategies based on enrollment goals and market opportunities. Counsel prospective graduate students regarding academic programs, admission requirements, the application process, financial aid and financing options, and the overall Elms College experience. Manage prospective students throughout the enrollment funnel, providing timely and personalized communication from inquiry through application, admission, deposit, registration, and enrollment. Conduct individual appointments, information sessions, presentations, virtual events, and on- and off-campus recruitment programs for prospective students. Review graduate applications and supporting materials for assigned programs and make admission recommendations in accordance with established College and program requirements. Collaborate with graduate program directors, faculty, Enrollment Management colleagues, Marketing and Communications, and other campus partners to support recruitment and enrollment initiatives. Identify emerging recruitment opportunities, prospective partnerships, and market trends and provide recommendations to Graduate Admissions leadership. Assist with the planning and execution of graduate recruitment events, open houses, admitted student programs, webinars, and other enrollment initiatives, including evenings and weekends. Utilize Slate CRM extensively to manage assigned populations and territories, maintain accurate prospective student records, track recruitment activity and communications, manage follow-up, and monitor movement throughout the enrollment funnel. Use Slate queries, reports, dashboards, and other available tools to identify students requiring outreach, monitor recruitment and conversion activity, and support data-informed decision-making. Perform other duties as assigned in support of Graduate Admissions and College enrollment goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in college admissions, enrollment management, recruitment, sales, business development, or a related field preferred. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations to a variety of audiences. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of assigned recruitment territories and enrollment goals. Strong organizational and follow-up skills with a demonstrated commitment to responsive, student-centered service. Experience with Slate or another CRM system preferred. Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including frequent regional travel and periodic overnight travel. Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by the recruitment cycle. Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently required.
