Admissions Counselor - Graduate Admissions Tufts University Minimum $50,500.00, Midpoint $63,200.00, Maximum $75,800.00 United States, Massachusetts, Medford 2 The Green (Show on map) Jul 23, 2026 Overview The Office of Graduate Admissions supports the enrollment objectives of the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and the School of Engineering at Tufts University. Graduate Admissions supports the Deans of each school, and members of the faculty, on the coordination of all aspects of graduate student recruitment, application management, and marketing and communications. Graduate Admissions processes more than 7,500+ applications annually to 30+ departments across 75+ programs for fall, spring, and summer entry to Tufts University. The Office of Graduate Admissions is also responsible for supporting the recruitment of online graduate programs for the School of Engineering and the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. What You'll Do The Graduate Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruiting and enrolling qualified students into the university's graduate programs within the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. This position focuses on guiding prospective students through the admissions process, promoting program offerings through virtual and in-person events, and helping achieve enrollment goals through proactive outreach, relationship building, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Support prospective students through the admissions process, by providing detailed and accurate information on programs, requirements, and next steps through phone calls, webinars, and email. Participate in virtual and in-person recruitment events including graduate school fairs, corporate events, conferences, and other opportunities to engage students. Partner collaboratively with academic departments, including faculty and staff, to ensure students are well supported through their admissions process. In addition, they should establish and maintain positive relationships with program directors to meet enrollment goals. Responsible for monitoring and processing student's admissions records in Slate to ensure efficient and timely communication. Support the application review process, including reading and evaluating application files in accordance with program criteria and office guidelines. Proactively communicate with students regarding upcoming deadlines, missing requirements, and other pertinent admissions information, including yield communication. Execute and track the effectiveness of recruitment efforts such as email campaigns, calling strategy, and texting campaigns. Provide adjustments and enhancements based on campaign effectiveness. Meet Office of Graduate Admissions goals for inquiry and applicant contact, processing of applications, and virtual drop-in hours. Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned. While our office functions in a hybrid modality, the Graduate Admissions Counselor can expect to have a frequent campus presence. Travel Requirements - This position involves travel throughout the year, which may include overnight stays. A valid U.S. driver's license is required, along with the willingness and ability to drive to various locations using a rental vehicle. Candidates must have a driving record that meets the standards of rental car agencies. A resume and letter of interest are required for this position
What We're Looking For Basic Requirements:
Knowledge and experience typically acquired by: Bachelor's Degree Experience working in an admissions setting Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills Valid US Driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of admissions experience in graduate admissions Experience working with Slate CRM Pay Range Minimum $50,500.00, Midpoint $63,200.00, Maximum $75,800.00 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
