Job Description

Job Overview The Admissions Officer plays a crucial role in the recruitment and enrollment of prospective students at our institution. This position involves engaging with potential students, providing guidance throughout the admissions process, and representing the university at various events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. Duties Conduct outreach to prospective students through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings. Provide academic advising to students regarding program options, admissions requirements, and financial aid opportunities. Organize and participate in recruitment events, campus tours, and information sessions to promote the university's offerings. Utilize Ellucian software for managing student applications and maintaining accurate records. Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a smooth transition for incoming students. Educate prospective students about university policies, programs, and resources available to them. Assist in developing marketing materials and strategies to attract diverse student populations. Maintain relationships with high schools and community organizations to foster partnerships that support recruitment efforts. Skills Proficiency in Ellucian or similar education administration software is preferred. Strong public speaking skills for presenting information clearly and engagingly at events. Experience in recruiting or admissions processes within higher education settings is highly valued. Ability to provide effective academic advising tailored to individual student needs. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on building relationships with students from diverse backgrounds. A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students transitioning into higher education is beneficial. Experience working directly with students in an educational environment is a plus. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
