Admissions Director Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility | Maryland A well-established skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility is seeking an experienced, motivated Admissions Director to join our leadership team. This is a key leadership position responsible for driving census growth, developing referral relationships, coordinating admissions, and representing the facility throughout the healthcare community. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship-builder who is comfortable developing partnerships with hospitals, assisted living communities, group homes, physicians, social workers, discharge planners, and other referral sources. Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the facility's admissions process from referral through admission. Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, assisted living facilities, group homes, physicians, home health agencies, social workers, case managers, and other referral partners. Conduct regular outreach and marketing visits to current and potential referral sources. Identify new referral opportunities and develop strategies to increase admissions and census. Maintain consistent communication with hospitals and other referral partners regarding available beds and appropriate placements. Respond quickly and professionally to referrals and admission inquiries. Work closely with nursing, social services, business office, and administration to ensure a smooth admission process. Track referral sources, admissions, conversion rates, and other census-related metrics. Represent the facility at community events, networking opportunities, healthcare meetings, and other outreach activities. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the facility's clinical capabilities, services, specialties, and differentiators. Monitor market trends and competitor activity and identify opportunities for growth. Participate in census and marketing meetings with facility leadership. Ensure a high level of customer service for prospective residents, families, and referral partners. Assist with developing and implementing marketing initiatives designed to increase facility census. Qualifications Previous experience in skilled nursing, healthcare admissions, marketing, business development, or a related field preferred. Experience working with hospitals, assisted living facilities, group homes, or other healthcare referral sources strongly preferred. Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills. Proven ability to generate and develop referral relationships. Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with facility leadership. Professional, energetic, and results-oriented approach. Knowledge of the skilled nursing/rehabilitation industry and the local healthcare market preferred.
