The ideal candidate will have worked as an admission coordinator before, have experience in reviewing patient charts, checking benefits, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. This position offers an opportunity to support our healthcare team by ensuring smooth patient intake processes while maintaining compliance with health regulations and confidentiality standards. Responsibilities Coordinate patient admissions by collecting and verifying necessary documentation and insurance information. Utilize patient management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems to accurately input data and maintain records. Communicate effectively with hospital referral sources, patients, families, healthcare providers, and insurance companies via phone and written correspondence. Ensure adherence to health regulation policies and confidentiality protocols throughout the admission process. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally. Support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and maintaining organized office operations. Assist in verifying insurance benefits and explaining coverage details to patients and their families. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment is required. Familiarity with medical administrative support functions, including patient management software, EMR/EHR systems, and health insurance policies. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health regulation policies, and maintaining patient confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation purposes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly over the phone and in person. Office experience involving electronic health records (EHR) management and typing accuracy is preferred.
