Professional Position Summary:
As part of a dynamic Office of Undergraduate Admissions team, this position plays a key role in recruiting, converting, and enrolling academically qualified undergraduate students at SUNY Plattsburgh. The successful candidate will contribute to a comprehensive enrollment strategy through a combination of recruitment, outreach, and application review activities. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing undergraduate applications for admission; representing the university through recruitment travel and college fairs; responding to prospective students and families via phone, email, and other communication channels; developing and delivering engaging presentations; conducting individual appointments in both in-person and virtual formats; and providing personalized outreach to prospective students throughout the enrollment process. This full-time position has a 12-month obligation. We are a part of the Enrollment and Student Success division, which supports a student's entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. Traveling to Central and Western New York State (and other regions when necessary) to attend high school and college fairs to meet with prospective freshmen applicants. Position is also responsible for communicating with prospective in an accurate and engaging manner to encourage prospective students to apply and ultimately enroll at SUNY Plattsburgh.
