Job Description:
This position supports Marietta College's enrollment goals through student recruitment, campus visit experiences, outreach activities, and mentorship of admission counseling staff. This position serves as an ambassador for Marietta College, representing the institution to prospective students, families, high school counselors, community college partners, and other external constituents. This role will leverage previous admissions experience and knowledge of Marietta College to assist with recruitment travel, conduct information sessions and campus visit programming, support transfer student engagement initiatives, strengthen collaboration with Athletics, and provide guidance and mentorship to newer admission counselors. The position offers flexible scheduling based on recruitment cycles, campus events, and departmental needs. Essential Functions of the
Position:
Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional guidance to newer admission counselors, particularly in relationship-building, territory management, and recruitment best practices. Conduct admissions information sessions for prospective students and families. Meet individually with prospective students and parents to discuss Marietta College's academic programs, financial aid opportunities, student life experience, and admissions process. Represent Marietta College at college fairs, high school visits, community events, and other recruitment programs. Assist with recruitment travel throughout Ohio and selected out-of-state markets to build awareness and interest in Marietta College. Support campus visit programs, open houses, admitted student events, and other enrollment-related activities. Serve as a resource to support productive collaboration between the Admission Office and coaching staff regarding prospective student-athletes. Assist with transfer student outreach, communication, and engagement efforts. Assist with follow-up communications to prospective students and families through phone, email, virtual meetings, and other outreach methods. Work collaboratively with Admissions staff and campus partners to support enrollment objectives. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Admission and/or the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Ability and willingness to travel. Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of recruitment events. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must possess strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to use discretion and judgment appropriately while maintaining confidentiality.
Required Experience & Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. Previous experience in college admissions, enrollment management, higher education, or related student recruitment activities. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students and families. Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by Marietta College's liability carrier.
Preferred Qualifications:
Marietta College graduate.
