Job Description:
Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Northern Virginia Regional Admissions Representative (FA012) in the Office of Admissions. We are seeking an energetic, independent professional to serve as Longwood's brand ambassador in the Northern Virginia region. Regional Admissions Representatives live in their recruitment region and have a high level of autonomy as they focus on establishing and cultivating relationships with prospective students to meet university enrollment goals. Serving as territory manager for Longwood's recruitment efforts includes the following responsibilities: Travel extensively to high schools and attend college fairs in the region to recruit students and strengthen ties with high school counselors, alumni, and other key influences in the recruitment process Ensure a high degree of personal contact to maintain and enhance a student's level of interest in the University Schedule off-campus recruitment programs within the region Maintain accurate reports and records pertaining to high school visits, follow-up activities, alumni contacts, and quarterly recruitment analysis Assist in determining initial admission decisions for all applications received from this territory for review by management Participate in on-campus recruitment programs and trainings as necessary throughout the year Utilize predictive and financial aid modeling to assist in recruiting students that meet the University's academic, diversity, enrollment and revenue objectives Serve on local, state or national committees, and/or present at local and state conferences to develop professional contacts and expand Longwood's presence in these organizations Execute responsibilities in an environment that provides a high level of autonomy while keeping supervisor informed of progress towards attainment of admission objectives Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree Valid driver's license Several years of previous professional experience preferred Demonstrated commitment to the values associated with Longwood University Evidence of excellent planning, organizational, and customer service skills Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to think strategically, to take initiative, exercise sound decision-making, and multi-task Proven ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely

This position is a full-time, administrative & professional faculty, exempt position. A successful fingerprint based criminal background investigation is required.
