As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, you will work primarily on-site, allowing you to foster meaningful relationships with patients and contribute directly to their rehabilitation goals. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical abilities and rehabilitation needs, setting realistic and achievable goals in coordination with physician directives. Create, implement, and monitor comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient requirements, ensuring progression toward their rehabilitation goals. Maintain accurate and meticulous records of patient progress and care, documenting evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries using appropriate clinical terminology. Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel, ensuring that they understand and align with patient care protocols while promoting a collaborative work atmosphere. Engage in continuous assessment of therapeutic interventions to determine efficacy and adjust treatment approaches as necessary. Work cohesively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to confer on patient care strategies. Provide constructive feedback to the management team to help improve clinic operations, maintain productivity standards, and enhance the overall professional development atmosphere. Patient Population / Client Focus Our center predominantly serves patients recovering from surgery, injury, chronic pain, and neurological disorders. You will work with a diverse range of patients, including children, adults, and the elderly. Qualifications A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university is required. A valid Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Virginia. At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred.
