Admissions Director Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation - Richmond, VA Forest Hill Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Admissions Director to join our skilled nursing leadership team in Richmond, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships, increasing admissions, and supporting census growth through strong partnerships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and community organizations. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare professional with SNF or long-term care experience who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, and case managers to generate referrals. Present the facility and its services to the local healthcare community in a positive and professional manner . Spend at least 75% of working hours in the community developing referral partnerships and promoting facility services. Maintain an 80% conversion rate from referrals to admissions . Support facility goals to achieve and maintain 90% occupancy or meet census targets . Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families . Coordinate with the Administrator and leadership team regarding current admissions and census strategy . Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities for growth. Participate in community outreach events, health fairs, and public speaking engagements . Assist with managed care pre-admission cost analysis and insurance contract coordination when necessary. Prepare and distribute daily census reports to leadership. Maintain strict confidentiality of resident and facility information. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required Two or more years of college preferred Experience 2+ years of experience in Skilled Nursing (SNF), Long-Term Care, Healthcare Marketing, Admissions, Social Services, or Community Relations Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills Knowledge of hospital referral processes and healthcare case management preferred Compensation Compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications and may vary outside the listed range.
