Primary Function Bring energy, leadership, and creativity to our afterschool program! The SKC Lead oversees the daily operations of an assigned School Kids Connection site, ensuring every afternoon is safe, organized, engaging, and fun. This role leads staff, coordinates activities and schedules, and helps create an environment where kids feel supported, connected, and excited to be there. What You'll Do Lead and coordinate daily afterschool programming. Supervise, encourage, and provide direction to SKC staff. Coordinate staff assignments, youth groups, activities, and transitions. Make sure activities are fun, engaging, and age-appropriate. Maintain proper supervision, staff-to-youth ratios, and safety standards. Oversee attendance, dismissal, and required program documentation. Build positive relationships with youth, families, and school staff. Support positive behavior and confidently handle day-to-day challenges. Keep program spaces, materials, and supplies organized and ready to go. Create a positive team culture where both kids and staff can thrive. What We're Looking For Experience in childcare, education, youth programs, or a related setting. Strong classroom or group management skills. Knowledge of child development or special education is a plus. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A dependable leader who can motivate, support, and guide a team. Someone who is energetic, flexible, creative, and comfortable taking initiative. Availability Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM-6:00 PM.
