JOB TITLE
Wraparound Parent Partner Full Time, Hourly $20.00-$25.00/hour

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Parent Partner provides direct peer support to parents and caregivers of youth receiving Wraparound services. Drawing from lived experience navigating child-serving systems, the Parent Partner builds trust, offers guidance, and supports families in developing the skills needed to effectively advocate for their child and participate in the Wraparound process. This role focuses on empowering caregivers through skill-building, including communication, system navigation, emotional regulation, and advocacy. Parent Partners maintain professionalism, appropriate boundaries, and consistency while supporting families through complex and often stressful situations. Peer support is provided in individual and group settings, including in homes, at the agency, and within the community. The Parent Partner ensures that family voice, choice, and culture are actively reflected in all aspects of planning and service delivery. This role requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the families we serve, including occasional evening and weekend availability. Participation in an on-call rotation is required. Reports to Wraparound Program Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Lived Experience:
Must have personal experience navigating child-serving systems (e.g., mental health, child welfare, probation, special education). Must have experience providing peer support to families with children who have emotional or behavioral challenges.
Other Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum 18 years of age Valid unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Must pass a Department of Justice/Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
: Family Support & Skill Development Provide individualized, strengths-based peer support to caregivers, grounded in empathy, professionalism, and appropriate boundaries. Support caregivers in developing skills such as effective communication, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and system navigation. Help families understand the Wraparound process and their role in planning and decision-making. Use lived experience intentionally and appropriately to build connection, normalize challenges, and inspire hope. Support caregivers in preparing for meetings, decision-making, and advocacy efforts. Team Collaboration & Advocacy Participate in team meetings and support caregivers in expressing their voice, preferences, and priorities. Coach caregivers to advocate for themselves within systems rather than advocating on their behalf whenever possible. Connect families to relevant community resources and support follow-through. Collaborate with the Wraparound team to ensure alignment with the Plan of Care. for a successful future. Crisis Support & Stability Provide calm, grounded support to caregivers during periods of stress or crisis, reinforcing coping strategies and problem-solving skills. Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned, providing timely and appropriate support to families. Documentation & Reporting Complete accurate, concise, and timely documentation of all services provided. Ensure peer support activities align with the family's Plan of Care and identified goals. Provide clear updates on caregiver progress, engagement, and barriers to support team planning. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Program Participation & Event Support Attend team meetings and contribute observations that support planning and service delivery. Support youth participation in agency events and activities that promote connection and growth. Assist with respite events, camps, and community activities, ensuring safety, engagement, and alignment with trauma-informed practice
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in supervision, Family Team Meetings, team consultations, trainings, program reviews, and continuous quality-improvement activities. Use Business Cards and other agency funds for preapproved, allowable program expenses and remain within the authorized spending amount. Submit receipts, required documentation, expense coding, and the business or family-service purpose for all transactions within established agency timelines. Provide coverage and support for families during staff absences or urgent program needs when assigned and appropriate. Assist with program activities, family events, transportation, and other services that support the family's Plan of Care. Participate in training and development opportunities, advocate for Wraparound services, and expand program awareness. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Wraparound Program Manager.
