ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects, deposits, and record income for parent fees, fundraising (deliver scrip), and special programs. Keep petty cash in order. Familiar with all of the hospital forms that applies to the Nursery School and Handle With Care and their proper usage. Gather articles for newsletter, type and E-mail or make copies for parents. Maintain bulletin board in the staff lounge. Maintains files on children, including current health information. Opens and distributes interdepartmental and outside mail on a timely basis. Orders and inventories office stationery supplies, educational supplies and food supplies. Performs receptionist and telephone screening duties for Nursery School Director and Site Supervisor and makes appointments as necessary. Responsible for understanding and participating in the organization-wide Quality Improvement program through orientation, education, departmental and interdepartmental quality control, quality improvement, and quality planning activities. Send copies to copy room when 50 or more copies are needed. Types correspondence, memos to parents etc. May also be required to provide secretarial and clerical support to other department members as requested. Update staff year calendar. Attend staff meetings and committee meetingsJOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Preferred (Not required) High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Work Experience Minimum (Required) Is accurate in the area of spelling, punctuation and grammar. Demonstrates skill in proof reading. Ability to read, write and speak English, bilingual helpful. Knowledge of childcare terminology. Knowledgeable in the area of Microsoft products. Must be self-motivated, able to work with limited direction, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Satisfactorily completes the orientation program and at the end of the probationary period meets the minimum standard requirements. Preferred (Not required) Prefer a minimum of two years recent secretarial experience in a childcare setting. Licenses and Certifications Minimum (Required) Current CPR and First Aid Certificate Pay Transparency The hourly rate range for this position is $23.00- $35.
