JOB SUMMARY

The Parent & Youth Partner provides active, hands-on peer support to children, youth, parents, and caregivers participating in the High-Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) Program. Through lived experience and advocacy, the Parent & Youth Partner helps children, youth, and families navigate child-serving systems, build meaningful connections, strengthen natural supports, and actively participate in their care. Services are provided in the community, in family homes, via telehealth, and/or at Maryvale facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must possess lived experience as a child or youth involved in a child-serving system and as a parent or caregiver of a child involved in a child-serving system. 2. Bi-Lingual Spanish highly preferred but not required. 3. High School Diploma, GED, or higher. 4. Experience working with children, youth, and families involved with child welfare, education, juvenile justice, or behavioral health systems preferred. 5. Familiarity with High Fidelity Wraparound Standards preferred. 6. Valid California driver's license and proof of insurance required. 7. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. 8. Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and time-management skills.

SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS

1. Flexible hours, dependent upon client needs and caseload. 2. Schedule may include evenings and weekends. 3. Provide crisis support during scheduled or assigned working hours, as needed and in accordance with program procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

1. Demonstrate commitment to Maryvale's Mission and Vincentian Core Values. 2. Use relevant lived experience appropriately and professionally to provide peer support to children, youth, parents, and caregivers through lived experience and advocacy. 3. Assist children, youth, parents, and caregivers in navigating child-serving systems and accessing resources. 4. Mentor families in communication skills, problem solving, stress management, self-care, self-advocacy, and life skills. 5. Participate in Child and Family Team Meetings and support active family and youth engagement. 6. Provide services and interventions outlined in the Plan of Care within the scope of the Parent & Youth Partner role. 7. Accompany and support children, youth, parents, and caregivers at school, DCFS, DMH, probation, court, medical, psychiatric, and related appointments as needed. 8. Maintain collaborative relationships with Child and Family Team members. 9. Support development and implementation of Plans of Care and Safety Plans. 10. Complete accurate and timely documentation according to agency, program, and contract requirements Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, agency privacy policies, and all applicable confidentiality requirements. 11. Follow Maryvale safety, crisis-response, and incident-reporting policies and procedures while providing services in homes, community settings, and Maryvale facilities. 12. Travel regularly throughout the service area to provide community-based services and attend meetings, appointments, and other activities related to client and program needs. 13. Meet service delivery expectations and maintain fidelity to the Ten Principles of Wraparound. 14. Attend supervision, training, and department meetings. 15. Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. The associate must be able to perform the essential duties, including walking, standing, sitting, reaching, speaking, hearing, and occasionally lifting 10 pounds. 2. Reasonable accommodation may be made.

Pay:

$22.50 - $26.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
